Surah Al Anam Meaning and Introduction
This Surah dispels the idolatrous Arabs’ beliefs regarding permissible and impermissible animals, and it is titled from the reference to cattle (An’am) in verses 136, 138, and 139.
Period of Revelation
When the Prophet was in Makkah for the final year, it was revealed all at once. The entire Surah was dictated by the Prophet that same night, despite the difficulties.
