Surah Al Maidah is the 5th chapter of the Holy Quran. The meaning of the title is “The Table Spread”. The surah was revealed in Madinah. It has 120 verses and 16 rukus. Surah Al Maidah is located in juz’ 6 and 7.
This surah describes the left matter relating to the physical world, it has discrimination about lawful and unlawful in the issues of food and permissible food to eat.
